My Relief

Tonight with a razor
I take the pain away
With hope of tomorrow
Being a brighter day
With tears and blood
Come a sigh of relief
As they both flood
I feel a bit calmer
The way I think is different
So I don’t expect you to understand
I know you think I’m crazy
When you gaze upon my hand
No matter what I say or do
Will change your opinion
So you can talk and you can laugh
But my feelings I shall hide
And by chance you get to me
I will have a razor close by
And I know it will take the pain away
And, with sunrise bring a brighter day
