What You gave me

You gave me another chance
To do
What was needed to be with You.
You let me know the love You feel
For me is real.

In order to be with You,
I must
Give You my all.
I don't want us to end.
So Lord, I repent for my sins.

Please don't let go.
Make me right.
I need you Lord.
Get me through this fight.

I kept my feelings so deep inside.
I couldn't be myself.
I always listened to the lies.
But, I got swept off my feet-
By the Great Divine.

God, I don't understand
Why I couldn't say
What was in my heart.
Not saying anything
Almost tore us apart.
You understood how I felt inside.

You tried to hold me close,
Even though I would fight.
I didn't realize that
You were trying to save my life.

The devil is real.
He tried to steal my soul.
But, God still kept me
When I was out of control.

I couldn't speak my mind.
I'm not afraid to open up to You this time.
I never knew it would feel this way.
All I had to do was pray.

You didn't let go,
Even with my past.
When I did wrong
God said, "I took my time
To make you mine!"
