Alrite i usually don't write poems that don't rhyme but i thought i would give it a try:) so enjoy!!

*unanswered questions*

It's as if the world has turned on me,
and the only things keeping me alive....
are my thoughts and the darkness....
that now surround me.

I stare into the emptiness
that keeps me company,
and I begin to reminisce
on all the times that I've been hurt.

A silky tear begins to slide down my cheek.
It's then that a faint voice known as my conscience
awakens my never ending memories,
and replays the words "maybe you don't deserve to be loved"

I slowly wipe my fallen tears,
and acknowledge that it's true....
I mean what other reason explains
why I somehow cry more than I laugh?

All I ever wanted to do was to love,
and be loved in return....
yet somehow along the process
of my bruised and wounded journey....

love became an avoided subject in my destiny!
It's funny how we could have so much hope,
yet one person could tear us up so badly
that we end up losing all feeling to the word "HOPE".

It's also funny how that one desire,
and that one special person....
that we always long for suddenly becomes....
numb to us and loneliness gets replaced.

Sometimes I wonder to myself....
Is life even worth living if we just live
to pray for that one thing that may never
even reach it's destination?

Just like the ink that's flowing
through this pen wonders....
Is there even any meaning
to all the time it's taking to write this?

As I stare out my window,
and try to dry the tears
that are stained on my face....
I end my thoughts where I started....

With just another unanswered question....
Will someone ever love me?

A poem doesnt always have to rhyme, as long as its well written, thats all it matters. You have done a great job on it, its very well written and very heartfelt. Keep it up. Thanks for your comment on mine. 5/5 :-)
