I remember waking up
An hour early

Knowing that soon
I would see your face

I remember the butterflies in my stomach
Knowing you would be there beside me

I remember looking at you
And you waving me over

I remember wanting to be with you
And having that same feeling returned

I remember when one day
Nothing was ever the same

I remember sleeping in too late
Afraid I may cry if I see your face

I remember feeling sick
Knowing this week you would like someone new

I remember looking at you from across the room
Only receiving a guilty frown

I remember wanting you
And you not wanting me

I remember wondering
When did things change?

I remember wanting to ask you
So many times, what it was I did wrong?

I remember you telling me we were friends
And then walking away, and never coming back

I remember a different you

And now I wonder,
Where did you go?
