Friends Forever

"Is this my fault?
Did I drive you to this?
Should I have said sorry?
When you swerved, was it me you were trying to miss?
Did I joke around to much?
Did I not take your cautions seriously enough?
Should I have not been mucking around on the road?
Why did you swerve?
I was in the wrong,
You wouldn't have been in trouble.
The time before I'd seen you last,
I had punched you in the face.
I'm really sorry,
I should have known not to worry.
I thought you were stealing my boyfriend,
But instead you were convincing him to stay,
And when he dumped me,
I needed someone to blame.
You don't pull through this,
Until then I'll think of you everyday!"
As I say this,
Your eyes flutter open,
Your lifeless body starts to move,
And you say
"Thanks for hopin'!"
The nurse runs in,
She says you'll be ok.
And for the rest of the day,
I plan tomorrow's trip to the bay,
Knowing that on this Earth you'll stay!
