Lesson Broken

by Sayuri   Mar 25, 2006

Ashes to Ashes,
Dust to Dust,
You were the only I thought I could trust.
Leave me alone,
Leave me be,
Don't come any closer,
Don't bother me.
You are a waist of time.
All you are is one bad rhyme.
Thinking of you, makes my stomach turn.
This was the last lesson,I had to learn:
Close your eyes,
Close your heart,
the world out there can tear you apart.
Close your mind,seal it tight
The world out there is such a fright.
Don't listen to a word they say,
In the end they'll turn you away.
Never tell your secrets to a soul,
Never let your life unfold.
Protect yourself from all the pain,
Protect yourself from living life in vain.
Save yourself from falling apart.
About this you must be smart.
This lesson I kept so dear.
Then you came to close and became my deepest fear.
I opened my eyes,I opened my heart.
I opened my mind and listened to what you had to say.
Still you didn't turn me away.
I began to tell you my deepest secrets which are true.
Began to let life unfold for you.
I no longer protected myself from pain.
But then you left me,
hanging my head in shame.
You left me,
Betrayed me.
Then back into the shell I crawled.
My life now one big flaw.
Pain shall kill me with it's fierce claw.
