Media

by Andy   Mar 25, 2006

-I'm not trying to belittle the recent terrorist attacks on the UK and USA, I'm simply pointing out the way that the media can blow everything out of proportion. If you don't like the idea of what I'm saying, don't read it.-

Media

Millions Starving,
Each and every day,
60 Die in London bombs,
Which would you display?

Two towers fall,
Thousands fall,
Millions fall,
Which of them do we all recall?

I'm not trying to insult,
or mock your result,
but who are you to say,
which to portray?

The hypocrisy of the media,
disregards India,
Africa or China.
After all, theres a murder in Carolina.

Is one man worth more than two on any given day?
The colour of his skin deems who we obey?
What kind of a world do we live in today?
Because theres

Millions Starving,
Each and every day,
60 Die in London bombs,
Which do we display?

Hello there, I really agree with what you're saying in this poem. The media does a excellent job when it comes to portraying only half of the world's stories. I'll be looking forward to reading more of your poetry. I was curious to know if this was just a poem, or a song. I think it would be a really awsome song. lol, well enough of my rambling talk to you L8r - Abbs
