Sonnet II: Asymmetry

by Rusted x Heart   Mar 26, 2006

What almighty force hath denied me love?
To starve the hunger of companionship,
O! And leave me blinded, the thought whereof
Doth provide this perpetual hardship.
Come forth! Unveil thyself, reveal thy name,
Let it be known that existence brought thee
Upon my life, to rid myself of blame
Cast upon me as a cloak of envy.
But thou can'st approach, for thy heart beats not,
Thy absence felt more strongly than presence,
It seems this heart's meaning, the Gods' forgot,
Condemned to a lonely life of silence.

Someday I shall find myself upon thee,
In a new life of perfect symmetry.

Impressive :) I don't really like the sonnet style, but your poetry made quite an impression and next time, I will not be so dismissive of a sonnet :) Well written, good rhymes and consistent to the shakesperian sonnet style :)

    Peace. [Sole]
