As my life fades to black

I start thinking about how you promised you'd come back

but you never did

you sure got a knack for making me feel like shit

pulling my soul apart, bit by bit

insulting me, lying to me

leaving me there to sit and cry

wishing that life would just end and I'd just die

one hairs breadth away from pulling the trigger

I'm not gonna lie about how you make me feel

sometimes I've gotten down and kneeled

prayed to god for your love

asking that my soul be healed, but I've been neglected

my mere wishes deflected

by this gods so-called understanding

you say that life's been hectic, expect me to turn the other cheek

I feel my heart start to leak

a never-ending shriek in my ears

it feels like it will go on for years

as my life fades to black.....
