Yellow leaves

by [a lie within]   Mar 27, 2006

It was my introduction i failed one hello
another tomorrow and we all leave to go
pick up the microphone there is nothing left in sight
just empty pages and miracles that never worked out right.

and since when does the wind sing to me
pointless songs and painting dreams
filled with plastic fairies and small figurines
porcelain trophies made for kings and queens

I've left my sanity back where it hides inside me
this ringing ceases as the melody keeps beating
silent notes only i can hear
secrets i find i hold so near

the gashes of glitter falling in the sky
slicing through smiles as time passes by
the stories make no sense and the colors fade away
a passion once loved, i can no longer save

i wish to stop here where the darkness descends
molding a nightmare to stop where i end
trying to fit the puzzle without finding the cure
i made a mistake and i end up here.
