Dying rose

by daniel cooper   Mar 28, 2006

Look like you need some tender care
You are starting to wilt in the tense heat
Not even the thorns save you
Losing your red petals
Blood is draining out your cheeks

Remember how we first met
You were just a seed
But I kept you safe
From any harm
And you grew into that stunning rose

Then the weeds appeared
They attacked you because of your beauty
Couldn't stand your success
Now all I can is do save you
From becoming another dying rose
