Earthquake

by PS   Mar 28, 2006

The hard firm ground shivers beneath me
i shake from head to toe
is it so hard for you to see
that this earthquake is scaring me

you look at every other
running far away
without another thought
you turn that way

I see you turn about
you leave me behind
so now as the earth moves
you are further and further

and you dont look back
to say that you love me
and you go on with your life
while i die all alone
with the ground shaking
my very soul

*i wrote this poem on the spot for a poetry game so it could use some fixing i guess. edited 4/3

i look to see you turn about
and and run as i watch
you leave me behind all alone
you go on with your life
while i die

I'd like to see this from a different angle or how did it really feel deep down to watch somebody leave like that in the middle of danger. :)

Definitely....try and write exactly the moment or event but from a totally different angle...be adventurous and extend it...as some rhyme...I'd love to see this thrive!
