Over You

by Kyle Schulz   Mar 29, 2006

I thought I wouldn't live,
Without you controlling me,
Ignorance is my fall, because you,
Felt nothing but apathy,

You consumed my essence,
Left nothing but a shell,
Of what I once shared and said,
Nothing left is all good and well,

When you left my world ended,
Filled with despair and gloom,
Turning for answers, I found none,
My own hand seemed my doom,

But a sign was looking for me,
To save me from your wrath,
A light shown down and made it clear,
My salvation was down a simple path,

From under my rock I crawled,
Distrustfully of the day,
But it gently took me into the light,
And showed my heart the way,

Now you look at me again,
Only the image is reflected,
Seething at me I now realize,
That your mind is infected,

With a deficit of conscious grace,
Moving on before I can breath,
Catching hold of the first guy to pass by,
So quick I couldn't believe,

I still love you,
I guess I always will,
But without you in my life,
There is a void I need to fill,

So go on to your new friends,
Leave me here feeling blue,
But I want you to know right now,
I am over you,
