Teens Today

by pain is me   Mar 29, 2006

Average may not be good enough
For anyone it seems
Make-up changes the way we look
Hides the things wrong with us
Working out for those abs of steel
The buffer the better is great
Eating habits have turned unsafe
There is no average weight
Sitting in front of the tube all day
Eating all that food
Then there’s you sister
Sitting, staring at her food
But not touching it at all
Self-mutilations getting more popular
Cutting, tearing, burning at your skin
All for the sake of fun and pain
Watching the models in magazines
Who are perfect everywhere
Watching, wanting, yearning to be like them
Can be turning into despair
What’s happening to teens today?
Never happy with themselves
