Sweet happiness
The first I’ve felt in years
I didn’t ruin it this time
Didn’t bring everyone to tears
Everything was perfect
And went just as planned
The day had a special air about it
Like it was magical and grand
I had a smile on my face
It didn’t seem to ever leave
But I knew the moment the day was over
It would soon go away
The sweet happiness doesn’t ever stay
It’s ok though
It doesn’t really matter anymore
After years of it not being around
To brighten up my day
Why would I ever have expected it to stay?
