Daddys Little Girl

by RadianceInReverse   Mar 29, 2006

Daddy, Do you love me??
Daddy, Do you care??

These questions she asks into thin air
as she sits there watching him
drinking his way into bruising behavior

Shes holding her hands
so tightly that they fade from blue to purple
she knows whats coming next
for she was in this spot the night before

Hes finished his eighth bottle of beer
and this time of abuse is very near
she realizes the second he notices her there
on her he'll take out all his fear

closing her eyes as she begins to hear
his heavy boots cross the cold heartless floor
shes prepared for the pain she must endure

Then he does something that surprises her

Bending down he whispers,
"Baby girl I do love you, I do care
and I can no longer bare
the immense pain that I've caused."

He pulls her close and gently kisses her forehead
and carries her slowly to bed

For once she felt his love
For once she was able to say,
"I'm my daddy's little girl!"
