A Hundred Reasons (More Or Less)

by CHAOTIC   Mar 30, 2006

A day without you seems so long,
but one with you feels so wrong.
The more I drift away, the less I see,
what the reasons are that won't let us be.

My mind is captured by your eyes,
this naked heart has been hypnotized.
The less I win this, the more I see,
what the reasons are that make you the key.

Looking at you gets tougher each time,
that smile you possess should be a crime.
I try to avoid seeing it upon your face,
knowing I will cry or fall back into this chase.

It's the simplest thought to just let go,
yet an emotion like this is hard to outgrow.
Not realizing the destination of a crush,
or how desires can be such a deadly lush.

If you could walk in these tired shoes,
you will see the power you've chosen to abuse.
I'm sitting in the front row, a soul wide awake,
watching potential beauty burn at the stake.

The one you have replaced is right here,
waiting for the light to somehow reappear.
Lose yourself the way I have with you,
or lose someone who is feeling so true.

A night will come that proves it all,
when you choose to answer my call.
The more I need you to, the less you might,
once and for all, you'll fade out of sight.

My aching for reality to finally succeed,
is overwhelming at a tremendous speed.
The less I want to want this, the more it shows,
what the reasons are why it's you my heart chose.
