What we die of

by Ashley   Mar 31, 2006

Loneliness sets in,
And again it begins.
She will always wait,
This was her fate.

No one will come along,
She will wait from dusk till dawn.
Nothing new there,
Her love is nowhere.

Hope has died,
Too many nights she has cried.
Now she just stares at the sky,
Watching clouds go by.

Twisted and demented,
Heart needs cemented.
Abused and broken,
All from words,
That should have never been spoken.

Time goes by,
She still sits and cries.
It is all she has left,
A never-ending spin of lies.

Told this and that,
Shown not that, nor this.
Thought she had found an out,
But it is just a big round a bout.

Round and round she goes,
Where she will stop,
She does not know.

Not by love,
And not by hope.
More like death,
Soon she will learn the ropes.

She will see the end,
She will know it is near.
And when she dies,
No one will be there.

Loneliness sets in,
And again it begins.

Thoughts of death,
Wishes of no more breaths.
Does she stop her air?
I think she does dare.

No more pain,
No more cruel games.
I will smoke this dope,
And use that rope.

I will tie it there,
And hang it here.
Can you feel it?
Death is near.

You see that tree?
That is the last place,
That you will ever see me.

I will be hanging,
With my feet dangling.
No longer breathing,
My family will be weeping.

Rope burns on my neck,
No more breathes left.
Soul slowly dying,
Friends quietly crying.

Soon souring in the sky,
Though no one will know why.
This is what she wanted,
She wanted to die.

You want to know something?
She is I.
We are one,
You see what you have made me become?

You broke my heart,
Tore it in two.
Shattered and worn,
Apart we were torn.

Death wins,
And it takes all.
Love is never enough,
Nor is acting tough.

This we learned,
But yet we still yearn.
We need love,
But in the end;
It is what we die of.

* if this does not sound like it flows, it is because i did not want to put it in slang so i had to change some words around. (like didn't and isn't and she'll and it's)
