For My Grandma. I love You!

by Greeniize   Apr 2, 2006

My Grandmas in a better place
as harsh as that may seem.
She prayed to God everyday
to take the pain away.

For years she waited patiently
and when the time was right
God came down from heaven
and held my Grandma tight.

He said her job on earth is finished
and now a new journey will begin
All the happy times with loved ones
are remembered once again

Sadness and frustration
are feelings that dont last
Aching bones and tired bodies
Are all part of the past

He silently assured my Mom
that Grandma will be fine.
He gave her strength to go on
and told her to be strong

It may be hard to smile now
to laugh and carry on
but you know shes not gone forever
In our memories she will live on

dont live each day with sorrow
with sadness and with tears
remember all the happy times
with her weve shared throughout the years

I know i will not forget the things that she taught to me -
to always make the best of things no matter how they seem -
to see the best in everyone in return makes me a better person -
live life to its fullest and your dreams will be fulfilled -
tomorrow is not garanteed so do not assume it is -
so never wait to tell someone how much they mean to you

Mom this parts for you

I wanted to say thank you
For taking care of grandma
When she needed it the most

you put your life on hold
and didnt blink an eye
you are wonderful and selfless
theres no more need to cry

I understand how hard it was
to be there everyday
to be there when she needed you
in each and everyway

the time youve shared together
will never be forgotten

theres just one thing that you should know
before this poem ends

you are the type of daughter
i hope and strive to be
dont worry i will be there as quickly as i can
should that day ever come that you will call on me

I LOVE YOU!
