My Only Help

I asked the sun to grand me light,
To make my world, a bit more bright,
It took it as upon itself a slight,
And deserted me, in its flight,
I asked the moon my night to lit,
But it didn't find the act benefit,
And then aided by selfish wit,
It unashamedly made exit,
I asked the stars to lead me through,
Steep cliffs, deserts, ocean blue,
But alas! On it their anger grew,
And they left me all alone in woe,
I went to God will all my sins,
To ask forgiveness for what I've been,
He showed love, when times were grim,
And with warmth and calm, filled me
