Other way around

by Lenee.Roca   Apr 2, 2006

Words left unspoken
Bite marks on the tongue.
Friends losing laughter
Tears falling from the eyes.

Days have been used
Looking back on the years.
Minutes, seconds ticking away
As you walked out the door.

Time slipping away
Put the casket in the ground.
You died that night.
On the way to the bar.

Things had been said
That should of stayed in the mind
Words being yelled back
Didn't want to lose the game.

Calling the name I don't want to hear
Slipping out from beneath the lips.
You looked as if you wanted to kill
Why didn't you with the knife.

Arm length away
You walked toward the light.
Didn't look back
Just floated in the air.

On this day
I cried away the pain.
For I will never feel again
I am the one being put in the ground.
