We Are the Crazy Ones

by EpithetPoet   Apr 2, 2006

Staring through glassy eyes
Past rain threading the window with lace
My finger left its print
But not for long
I stopped taking the medication
It may quell the screams
But not all what they say is incomprehensible
It makes sense
People think we're here because we're different
Because we dont see the world as they do
We're just trying to find our own place in this labyrinth of diversity
We are the crazy ones
So you dont have to be
But breaking through my soul, my body
Is the urge to be different
To be recognized among the masses
As me
So I broke through that window
Like I broke through my skin
And i found myself
In blood
