Set Me Free

by Ms Joanna Dark   Apr 5, 2006

These tears won't stop falling,
Because you can't hear me calling,
Why would you just let me die?

My heart is slowly breaking,
My soul inside is aching,
Have you ever heard me cry?

These wounds I keep on mending,
This smile is just pretending,
My life is made of lies.

The mask you see me wearing,
Has slowly started tearing,
I'm sick of this fake disguise.

Tears impair my vision,
From this heart-on collision,
The pieces are too small to fix.

My heart needs strong protection,
To guard against rejection,
I'll build the wall with bricks.

And if you see it falling,
Then you can hear me calling,
Just come and rescue me.

Your hand is all I need,
To insure that I don't bleed,
You can set me free.
