Forgetting you

by edward molinar   Jan 31, 2004

As I stared into your eyes I found joy,
then I turned my head around for a while,
and I found out that I was just a toy,
now, I swear, you’ll no longer see me smile.

I thought love was meant to last forever,
now I know what I believed in was wrong.
We could have been happily together,
I guess to you I don’t really belong.

You’re nothing but a piece of memory,
just somebody who has caused me sorrow.
Everything you’ve done was elusory,
I hope to forget you by tomorrow.

All I know is, I don’t want you no more.
So please, step out of my life, through the door.
