Loves lonely rain

She sits next to her windowsill,
Thinking about how much she loves him still.
She holds at that teddy bear,
On her face, is a blank stare.
He won it for her a while past,
Back when they thought their love would last.

Now she just sits next to the window,
& Watches loves lonely rain, come and go.

She races down the road & turns the music real loud,
She looks up to the sky & sees the big rain cloud.
She tries him on his cell again,
She listens close, as the rings slowly end.

She hangs it up, and tears fill her eyes.
She never knew what lay ahead,
It took her by surprise.

Her sight was blurry, she couldn't see straight
Cause of the tears, and it was getting late.

So her car, took a sudden turn,
Not knowing she would never return.

Loves lonely rain, hits her body.
Her head is tilted ever so softly.
Next to her, is the teddy bare,
On her face, is a blank stare.

They're dressed in black, standing in the pouring rain.
He knows now, it will never be the same.

If only he would have answered that stupid phone,
Maybe then, she could have made it home.

He set a single flower on the casket,
He still loved her, he couldn't fake it.
It was more than another,
Teenage romance,
But now everything, just sits in the past.

So now his laugh and smile he must again pretend,
Cause everythings gone,
It's really at an end.

So he looks at the teddy bear, & starts to cry.
He thinks about her,
and looks towards the sky.

He cries as love's lonely rain, pours down on him,
Knowing now, he'll never see her smile again.
