A Young Girls eye

by jennifer   Apr 6, 2006

People see life differently than I do
I see it through a young girl's eye,
Everyone is always telling me I'm wrong
Even when I know I'm right.

I'm tired of being put down by adults
They always think they're right,
They think they know what's best for us
Always keeping us home at night.

They think because they were bad
Children we are to,
Well they're wrong I'm unstoppable
Like rubber and glue!

I don't think they could last a week in my shoes,
They may have been through a lot
Yeah that's true,
But in my opinion I have been through it too.

Being a teenager these days is
Harder than it used to be,
I think there's a lot more pressure
When there shouldn't be

I guess it was a lot different,
They could walk around
And pretty much do as they please.

They are always nagging on us
Always on our tail
Making sure we're perfect
So nobody can tell.

Your friends aren't always there for you
Not even when you need them,
They say they'll stick around
But only time will tell.

People see life differently than I do
I see it through a young girl's eye,
Adults just need to stay off our cases
Let us live our lives!
