I saw a young girl today

by Sarah   Apr 6, 2006

I saw a young girl today
She was only two years old
A girl this young
Should be full of Joy
Happiness Smiles
And laughter too
But there was no joy
In her small face
I looked deep into her eyes
I saw Pain and a hurting helpless girl inside
She has suffered more pain
In her two short years
Than I have in all thirteen of mine
I will never forget her face
As a tear rolls down my check
She didn\t even have a chance
No chance to live
To ride a bike
Go to school
Play with dolls
She didn\t get to do all the things little kids should
She had no chance at life
While I was tempted to end mine
I’ll never think of that again!
