Lost

by Patrick   Apr 7, 2006

The hope is lost,
The confidence is sparse,
My love is gone.

I cry to the mountains,
Sing to the clouds,
Dance in my empty heart.

I crave regrets into my angels wings for hope,
The little hope in the beginning is lost,
And its all I had to fight off your dreadful memories.

The reflection in the water,
The sound of the birds,
The smell of burning flowers,
Is coming to hunt our dreams.

My angels wings are burning away that once were around me,
Our angels wings are slowly creeping out from us,
The lullaby she sings is tearing me apart.

What I am looking for is a blur,
What I need isnt there.

My vines have physically lost all power,
They cant move,
They cant speak,
Just make them crawl on the beautiful oak,
Have their thrones sink into the emptiness of her heart.

So deep,
So shallow,
So gone.

    Hey,

Another poem I fell in love with.
Such a different style of writing to mine, but.. I LOVE IT.

What I loved about this poem was how the end verse was like short. Seemed so...final.

Looking forward to your other poems!
    Cheers,

    Laterz,
    Shirlz
