Metal around my heart

by Gothic Princess   Apr 7, 2006

Twisted metal wrapped around this breaking heart of mine
Every breath that fills my body
My heart aches and breaks a little more

Drowning myself in all my misery and pity
Allowing myself to fall and lose control
Let myself fall and dream this life of mine away

Twisted metal wrapped around this beating heart of mine
Forever breaking a little more
Each time your eyes catch mine and hold a gaze that turns my frowns into smiles
& makes my heart pound within my chest

I find myself thinking of you
When I lose you
In the crowd of people

Wanting, needing you to be the one I can hold on to when I fall apart

Twisted heart of mine
Bleeding in vain for nothing & yet everything
My mind tells me day after day to give up
But my heart wonâ??t allow me to

Just one look into your eyes
& youâ??ve lost me
Confused and yet somehow still captivated I am to you and to your thoughts and feelings
Your heart I want to feel

I look over at you;
So calm and so together & I see myself so frustrated and such a mess that I find it hard to believe that there is anything other than pity or curiosity behind your alluring motives

My heart strong yet weak
My thoughts poetic and yet flowing so upon paper nothing more than
Wishful hopes and dreams
Desires and ambitions that will never come true

Fading away
Physically here but emotionally and mentally
Far from here
Without you here to look over at,
Smiling at me, there is no point in being present here

Wanting to lose myself in your eyes
So dark and deep
Feel your arms around me
Your kisses upon my body
Your heart beating with mine

But as I sit here
Alone and hurt
Just like always
I see the truthâ?¦
