Hope

I hope you realize how much it hurts,
How much I want to help,
But when I try to come near you,
All I hear is a little yelp.

Maybe I should just give up,
Trying to help everyone,
For once try to help myself,
And maybe then I can finally shine like the sun.

I just hope you all understand,
Exactly why I have to do this,
Once I’m done helping me,
I can give your wounds a kiss.

But right now I have to worry about me,
So for once I can get better,
And just hope,
That no one will make my heart shatter.
