Lasting love

by pvbeth   Apr 8, 2006

The mountains glisten with drops of dew
against the sky of a wonderous blue
the trees are softly swaying back and forth
in the gentle breeze whispering in from the north
the fields of grass are like waves in a sea
rippling on and on as far as the i can see
in the distance a spot of white billlows in the breeze
it envelopes the maiden of fair skin with ease
her barefeet are cooled in the comforting grass
as she reaches her long lost love at last
his shining armour reflects the light
as he looks in to her eyes of sight
the pain of being away has taken its toll
and his longing for her pours from his soul
as he takes her pain away with a passionate kiss
one so pure and so full of love, it sends her into a state of bliss
their hearts were torn but now they can mend
this is where my story will end.
