Reality Check

by Brooke Mason   Apr 8, 2006

You were never there for me
What gives you the right to
suddenly show up and expect that
everything is going to be okay?
Reality check
It won't be

I'm not coming back home
That part of my life is over
The sooner you realize that
the easier things will be on us both
Reality check
I'm not your little girl anymore

I never said I didn't love you
I never said I didn't care
It was you, mommy dearest,
who messed up in the beginning
Reality check
It was your fault

I'm tired of you acting as if
you are my loving parent
I'm sick of watching you trying
to be my guiding light
Reality check: you aren't
and you never will be

Pritty good, very clear and descrptive, though the flow is not great, however the content and dea behind this are very good
