Gateway Tree

by PS   Apr 9, 2006

Silver blossoms on a tree,
a tree that leads to fairies,
elves, ogres, wizards and queens.
grass, made of unearthly green emeralds
an accidental ball rolled under takes you away
to a land unlike ours;
ours is full of ruined cities
and ruined people,
murders in the streets,
and corruption
in this far reaching world
leave here into a world of
magic, Good's triumph over the cold dark evil that is our home.
a single petal tastes of ambrosia, sweet nectar of the heavens
where mythic legends, gods and goddesses
lounge to watch the misery of reality.
they laugh in their world-changing quarrels
and easy living of love.
That perfect tree,
a gate into a whole unknown world
safer yet more dangerous than our own.
A world of hero's,
a world of heroic war,
a world of our dreams
a world unlike our own.
escape

I liked this one too. It was wonderful and full of happiness. It reminded me of a book I read over the summer. I think that it was called the Magic Castle. Keep up the good work. 5/5
