For My Friends

by Amanda   Apr 9, 2006

You gave me your heart,
I pushed you away,
You asked me to come out,
I said not today

You asked if I liked you,
I coldly said no,
You turned away and cried,
I said I had to go,

You went in your bedroom,
and sang a sad song,
Thought you had lost me,
but you felt this was wrong,

You grabbed a bottle,
drank what was inside,
Felt like you were alone,
and just wanted to hide,

I came round to your house,
and knocked on the door,
Pretended you didn't hear me,
turned the music up some more,

I burst into your bedroom,
Took away the drink you had,
Put on a happy song,
and said why are you sad?

I said:

I don't need your heart,
cause you're already part of me,
We don't always have to be together,
please open your eyes and see,

I don't like you, I love you,
and I'll never let you go,
I am your friend forever,
and I'll always tell you so.

Just a random poem I wrote for all my friends to say when I'm not around, I'm always with them.

Beautiful, just beautiful. Really brilliantly written and I love the way that you broke up the poem towards the end before the final stanza, really helps to almost draw a line through it. Again the rhyme is flawless and the emotion you put into the poem comes across so beautifully. Superb 5/5 x

Very sweet poem, but very simplistic
My friend liked it a lot and thinks you are well cool
The simplistic approach worked and I thought it was great
    Well done
