All around me

All around me there are pretty faces
And families and friends and sparkling lights.
Orchards filled with succulent apples
And toddlers with bright, twinkling eyes.
All around me there are dazzling smiles
And laughter so full of life.
To bad that’s what’s all around me
Is the opposite of what’s inside.
