The entire puzzle

These feelings from my heart cannot be understood
Many words can be used to describe how I feel
It is impossible to appoint a lonely word for this task
For now my heart is not alone but it is with another

Together there are no cups of joy but there's a great flood
And the second you say goodbye I long to be in your grasp
Our fingers become pieces of a puzzle that fit perfectly
And our lips form the other pieces making us complete

Once you take a step out of this sweet serenity
The flood of joy dries into an unbearable drought
Out of all the words there is but a single one needed
Hate is the only word of this world and it is everywhere

My side despises the one that my heart has chosen
His side in turn looks down with cold eyes at me
I don't find company with members of his side
He can't be found near those on my side

Despite all that we feel because of each other
We must still back out into this other world
And those in the other world look upon us without approval
They see us as a knot made of ropes that don't belong

When friends brew up something that conjures tears
You look up to see you're the rope in a game of tug-o-war
Now your heart is tearing and your mind is a ship lost in a fog
The pieces may fit together but do the fit with the entire puzzle

Free the ropes from the knot in which they don't match
Take apart the pieces that aren't a part of this puzzle
Forget the longing in your heart and make up a mask
The hate shall be hidden but it wont drift away.

My heart is a torn pile cast away into the wind
Blackened now from its brighter and happier days
Crying behind the mask no one will ever no
Looking at me now they continue to believe they no what's best

I know what I desire most I see it every night in my dream
I see you there and you run up to me our fingers together again
Losing the hate in out new serenity and diving into each others eyes
That's all I'll have left once I do what they want me to.
