Now

by Dianna   Apr 10, 2006

Standing in the corner of a dimly lit room;
No one can see me, for the shadows consume...
Light is shining through the cracks of the upper floor
Dust and such begin to dance from the wind beyond the door.
Tears collect inside my eyes and gently roll down
As they begin to form a river of sorrow on the ground.
Looking back on the past and all of the memories
I see such pain and torment as I fall to my knees.
Reaching out in the darkness as I begin to sob
Pain and fear race through me and my heart begins to throb.
Someone touches my hand to my surprise,
As they pull me off of the ground I begin to realize
That memory is one part of my life that I should let go,
For the people and light and harmony around me now have
shown
That life is not easy while asking why or how,
But filled with joy and beauty when you live in the now.
