Look Past The Fake Smile

Look at her
Look past the fake smile
Do you see how unhappy she is?
It's been this way for awhile.

She thought she was getting better
She tried her hardest to
she wanted to over come the pain
But it was just something she couldn't do

The depression wouldn't leave
It was a pain too strong
No matter what she did
In her heart it felt wrong

But she remembered how her parents were
When she tried to take her life that day
She couldn't bare to do that again
And hurt her family that way

So she puts on an act
To make then think she's getting well
It makes them happy
So in this pain she continues to dwell

So the next time you look at her
Remember to look past the fake smile
See the pain inside her
Thats been and will be there for awhile.
