The girl I see

by Rebecca CArnahan   Apr 11, 2006

As I lie in bed
Crying in the worst way
People make jokes
About that dreadful day

I'm so confused
As I close my eyes
And go back to a time
When my life was full of lies

As I watch this girl I use to be
She cries and screams
I watch herself grab the blade
To let out her steam

I see her cry from the pain
But not the pain of the knife
She cries from the pain
Of the sadness in her life

I see her get up and run
She grabs the pills
I Scream with fear
Her pain she thinks she can kill

Two days later
I watch her wake
She's still alive
Her life she didn't take

She gets up and goes to a mirror
And she's shocked by what she sees
I smile at her
At the girl who use to be me.
