Murky windows

by zoe   Apr 12, 2006

I sit and stare out upon the world,
Through the murky window, I watch the rain fall.
I listen to the rhythmic splattering on the ground.
Watch as the trees sway from side to side.

I sit and think about the world,
Through my fog of thoughts, i see your face.
I listen to your gentle words of love and hope,
Watch as your face disappears, replaced by despair.

Sitting here isn't really doing any good,
Foggy thoughts, murky windows, my mind feels clouded.
Like someones muffling it, wont let me listen,
Wont let me find what I crave to know.

I stand, hoping ill be able to hear myself think,
Shaking my head, to try and clear the fog.
But my sunshine isn't here to lift it,
Why did you leave me, and my foggy thoughts?
