Stuck in a world we hate

The little girl sits there waiting
Inside the massive house she sits
Minuet by minuet goes by
She continues to wait
Out of the blue she sees a flash
A flash of lightening sparks
From out in the field
It starts to pour
Raindrop by raindrop
She watches each one
As they reach the ground
Splashing the ground below
Leaving a puddle of water behind
She hopes she doesn't wait much longer
As she sits there at the window
She just continues to wait
Listening to the rain and thunder
Watching the lightening flash
Lightening up the sky
Imagining herself not having to wait any longer
The rain just keeps coming
It doesn't seem to want to stop
Pours and pours
Beats harder and harder
Only leaving the girl with two things to wait for
One: the rain to finally stop
Two: what she was waiting for before the rain started
Waiting within her house
Watching the rain and lightening
As her life passes by
