Lost Friendships

by Tyler   Apr 15, 2006

What was it that attracted us so,
On a day so long ago
It was curiosity that made us say "Hello,"
And a friendship began to grow.
Through pain and tears,
We've come through the years;
I always tried to be there,
To salve your fears.
Closer than family
I thought of you and I;
And like brother and sister
Sometime didn't see eye to eye.
Long is the day,
And we know not the cost;
The price that we pay,
For friendships that are lost.
