A Breath Away

by CHAOTIC   Apr 15, 2006

[inhale]
Listen to those vaguely calling voices,
They're telling you to walk away,
Face the right direction.
Your eyes are screaming their confusion
Like a bloodcurdling sound, only attainable
In the most vein chilling nightmares.
There's emptiness a long way down
And your wings have reached its limit,
So just turn around,
Leave it all behind.
It's a trap that poisons your bones,
But your feet are still tangled
From all the knots clawing their way up from below,
From this hole you've dug and labelled love.
The air is intoxicating,
A view with shades of greens and blues,
Reminding you of his eyes in the moonlight.
This is all you can do,
You can't erase this moment now.
With no hesitation,
The edge is out of sight
And as you drop almost gently downwards,
You know your wings are useless,
There's no one to catch you at the bottom,
Free falling.
But it doesn't matter to you anymore
Because none of it can change your heart's state,
The way you feel when you think of him.
[exhale]

Wow I love it. I like the little inhale exhale thing, pretty cool.
    The poem is great....as usual!
