I will never say goodbye

I was standing here alone
Before I saw him
His dark eyes comforting my fears
I smiled, because I knew he had come back for me

He stood beside me
While I caught my breath
He had looked at me for who I was, not what I wanted to be
I never felt judged by him
I never felt like I needed to change because of him

We sat there beside each other
He cried, while I sighed
Nothing else mattered in the world
Apart from him

Sitting beside him, was like I was sitting on a white cloud in heaven
Floating on air
I loved him so much and wanted to tell him so
But couldn't

He wiped away his tears and stood up
He looked up into the sky and yelled out
'I loved you so much, why did you have to leave me like you did, why didn't u say goodbye? I miss you, I want you to come back, I love you!'
He fell onto his knees and started to cry in his hands

I wanted to tell him that I was here
I wanted him to know that I was listening to his troubles
I wanted him to realise that I still loved him
But words could never make him happy again
For I was no longer with him

This is the place where we met
This is the place that we fell in love
And this is the place he has been visiting ever since I passed
Always crying, always telling me that he still loves me

Our love for each other will never fade
For true love never dies
And we will never say goodbye
To our wonderful life that once was.
