A Walk on the Street, A Run for the Door

by Jenn   Apr 18, 2006

So she walk right beside me
Best friends for 2 years,
But she acts as though,
She could easily shed tears.
Poor girl, I think,
All hurt inside,
But it doesn't make any sense,
Why had she lied?

Questions in my head,
People all around,
She heads for the door..
Without the slightest sound.
Standing on the sidewalk,
Where will she go?
Has she started to change?
Is it truly so?

She looks toward the street,
Pretty empty, I guess it was,
Does she feel too alone?
But all she says is, "Well, just because.."
Does she know what she's doing?
She thinks so.
She walks across some grass,
I'm still not sure what she wanted to prove, or show.

So, away she walks,
With no explanation,
She's lucky she got that far,
To keep walking...such temptation.
She spots a lake,
And that's where she goes,
To clear her thoughts?
Nobody knows.

You can guess whats coming next,
Trouble and disappointment.
She walked out of school,
There was no point in it!
Picked up by the police?
Yeah, that rumor is true.
I don't know why she left.
Maybe you do.
