Hidden

by Bethan   Apr 18, 2006

When I look inside myself I find,
A broken heart, a restless mind,
A hardened shell with a damaged core,
Bruised and battered, old wounds still raw,

A broken spirit with shattered dreams,
A hidden sorrow with silent screams,
An inner rage masked, out of sight,
A dark truth sheltered from the light,

All this I've kept locked inside,
Now there is nowhere to hide,
Naked, vulnerable, all is bared,
A broken vessel to be repaired,

Pandora's evils have been set free,
And no more live inside of me,
This empty shell can be rebuilt,
With no remorse or sense of guilt,

The time has come to be reborn,
Move on and no more shall I mourn,
The evils have gone and shan't return,
From hard lessons I shall learn,

Light penetrates where once was dark,
A journey on which I must embark,
To find happiness and heal old pain,
Simply to feel human again.

Jolly good my love. i thought it was bloody brilliant! it was wonderfully written. the flow was great, and was accompanied with creative writting. a very good piece. i'm happy to have read it. i don't really have a favorite stanza, but i was very impressed with the opening one. quite strong and powerful. well, bye bye.
