Vanquished Fear

by Momentary Relapse   Apr 18, 2006

With black clouds billowing across the stone
Upon a high rise were no sun has shone
The sunset shows where many gave their lives
The golden light fails as it vainly strives
A warrior king with his armies content
Pondering next as his mind is conquest bent
The rogue encampment far to the north
Daily gathering all those of worth
Men and women who had once felt dismay
Pick up arms hoping to win another way
Determined to win what was once granted
The clash against the enemy was enchanted
Guided by hands of those who have worshipped
The slaves have felt their spirits whipped
A black banner once raised will be destroyed
The era short lived leaves a void

Some good imagery, i feel the structure could do with a bit of work, the rhythm seems forced in some places, but great work xx
