Saying Goodbye.

by Zomi   Apr 18, 2006

Bereft I lie, upon these sands
beneath the gentleness, of your hands.
Upon my lips you place a kiss.
These summer days, we will always miss.

You take your thumb and wipe away
The only tear I shed that day.
See I was strong, I kept inside
The feelings that were so hard to hide.

And as your kiss fades, your taste lingers on.
As your memory fades with the setting sun.
I'll never forget the love we knew
Until the day that god took you.
