We'll Always Be Friends

by goldie   Apr 19, 2006

Talking to an old friend like you
Brings back memories
The days we use to laugh and cry
About ridiculous things

The way we used to play under the sun
And role around in the snow
The way we used to run around like we were being chased by wild fire
And hiding from our parents when it was time to go

The way we used to love the same stuff
And watch the same shows
The way we used to always tell each other everything
And how we never kept secrets

But as the years went by
We started to lose contact
And at one point we forgot each other
In our minds you were there but in our presence you were not

And here we are now
Talking to each other
Catching up on our pasts
Telling each other everything that has happened

Even though we forgot about each other
For maybe a day or two
We’ll never forget each other
For the past is what is in our minds

And you’re my past
As you are my present
And you will be my future.
Because we’re best friends forever
