All that its made out to be

I figured I saw my very first love,
but his spirit was trapped, like a helpless dove.
He did try to love me, that much is true,
Now I just need some help from anyone new.
He broke my heart, that day that i cried,
And did he care, no, he never tried.
So, tell me, if you would, please,
is love really all that its made out to be?

    Awww i've been there too but trust me, whoever this guy was, he wasn't good enough for you....when you meet someone new and fall in love again you'll realise this :)

    Anyway, very sweet poem and I could definitely feel the emotion throughout.

    Love is a pain in the ass. it can make you the happiest person in the world, or crush you and leave you sad and alone. i hope that you find all the happiness you can handle, and never get crushed. p.s. i loved your little poem 5/5 ~ash
